Frequently Asked Questions
How do I sell my book or other items in your store?
Submit to our online form HERE. We are not accepting any submissions created by generative AI. If we do think your submission will be a good fit, we will reach out.
Are you accepting submissions for publication?
Our publishing wing is very small and very selective, but we are always happy to take a look at a submissions. We are most excited to see cerebral and progressive takes on genre storytelling in fiction, nonfiction, and comics. As you should with any publishing company you consider submitting to, look over our titles and see if your project would be a good fit. It’s often better to self-publish than to publish with a company that doesn’t focus on your work, so be selective on where you send your manuscript. Publishing is a business relationship and you want to make sure your business partner understands and believes in your vision.
Our Writers Co-Op might also be worth considering as they represent a wider array of writing including poetry, dramaturgy, and gaming.
Are you hiring?
We run a very lean staff, so usually not. If you’re interested in working for us, come in and talk to us about what you love about books. On the rare times a spot opens up, we usually look to our own community first so being a familiar face always helps. If you are a freelancer looking for editing, illustration, or design work; reach out to Charles, our creative director.
What is the Writers Co-Op?
The Literati Press Writer’s Co-op is a community of practicing storytellers, working within fiction, poetry, filmmaking, visual arts, music, and other related fields. Our primary function is to foster community, intersectionality, and literary citizenship to help each other become better readers, writers, and storytellers by serving as each other’s champions and collaborators.
Founded in 2025, the Co-Op not only serves as a gathering space for writers, but also collaborates on initiatives such as chapbook series, literary journals, and other ideas to amplify the innovative voices of Oklahoma storytellers.
