Karen Martin

In college, she was named Outstanding Editorial Cartoonist in 1999 and 2000 by the Leadership Institute.  She has done political cartoons, comic book art, and also worked on canvas, shoes, and t-shirt design.  Among her influences are 1980s superhero art, television, shiny things and trash culture.

Her debut series, “World Wide Tribune” is a comic book take on grocery store tabloids featuring backwoods werewolves, aliens and a zombie outbreak in the gay district of Oklahoma City.
